Sagging Skin

Sagging Skin

Sagging skin or excessive skin is often the result of ageing or weight-loss (or both). As we age our facial substructures descend, often creating sagging and excessive skin around your jawline. Commonly called jowls, this may also include a double chin or sagging skin under the eye region. Other common areas for sagging skin is the neck region and hands.

Sagging or excess skin around the neck area is a tell-tale sign of ageing. People are generally willing to invest in treating the visible signs of ageing on their face, but all to often neglect the neck and hands, giving away their true age in spite of their facial appearance.

Using combination therapies, it is possible to dramatically improve the appearance of sagging skin. Undertaking these treatments will complement your investment in facial rejuvenation to deliver a more holistic and balanced anti-ageing result.  Results vary dramatically depending on the cause and anatomy underlying the concern. These regions can also be expensive to treat as they are large areas. This is often the reason they go untreated. However, advances in technology mean they are being treated more effectively and much cheaper now using combination approaches. It’s best to make a consultation with Dr Wilkinson to discuss this concern to determine a realistic idea of likely outcome and cost.
